SMECO Commercial Rates

Are you aware that as a business owner, you are or will be getting placed into the DEMAND rate class and will be forced to pay a DEMAND Distribution fee regardless of your peak pull on the system? If you want more information, contact me. Pennie D. onecent@advancedvisionsys.com

  1. Thanks, Pennie. I also learned something important relative to SMECO last night at the Western Charles County Business Association meeting. Of the two candidates to represent Charles County on the SMECO Board of directors only one lives in WESTERN CHARLES COUNTY. Vote for John Bloom, who lives in Indian Head. He has served us well. More about John at this link==> https://www.smeco.coop/about/boardcha.htm To learn how to easily vote for your SMECO representative (only 1% of customers do so) go to https://www.smeco.coop/about/annualmeeting/ So now you have two ways to learn about and hopefully do something about your electric rates. Email Pennie for info on DEMAND rate class and make sure to vote for John Bloom to get representation your neighbor in Indian Head.
